I have loved creative writing my whole life, and wanted to combine that with my passion for animals and nature. I was inspired to write Uplift, my debut novel, to give animals a voice. By telling an engaging (and educational!) story, I hope to inspire greater understanding and compassion for these creatures.
Nature has been a lifelong source of joy and inspiration, and I love spending time outdoors hiking and exploring.
I have always been curious about the natural world and this led me to co-found the Teton Valley chapter of Master Naturalists in 2023, a dedicated and trained group of volunteers for nature.
Prior to turning to fiction, I had a 35-year career in environmental health and safety. I was founder and CEO of Green Futures Unlimited , a consulting firm, and taught sustainable business at the University of California San Diego. I served as Director of Environmental Health & Safety for Pfizer, Inc. and was honored with the prestigious Pfizer Achievement award.
I attended the University of Michigan where I earned a MPH from the School of Public Health and a BS from the School for Environment and Sustainability (Go Blue!)

I've been a pianist since the age of 5 (thank you, Mom!) and am what is commonly known as a "serious amateur."

I have lived and traveled extensively, both in the United States and around the world.

Nothing brings me greater joy than hiking in the wilds with my husband and family,
taking particular delight in the birds and wildflowers!
